THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO STOPPED BY OUR BOOTH!!
To write love on her arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to present hope and finding help for those who are struggling with depression, self-injury, addiction and suicide. November 13th is to write love on her arms day, where anyone can write the word LOVE on their arms to show support for people struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts.
Within the past 15 years depression doubled and suicide tripled among college students. Two out of Three people with depression WILL NOT seek help and it can lead to suicides. Depression is also a rising issue in the Asian American community.
The brothers of Kappa Pi Beta understand the day to day pressures that us college students face. We are committed to serving our community therefore we were happy to donate our Halloween candy to anyone who stopped by our booth to hear us out about the issue out and write LOVE on their arm to spread awareness about depression and suicidal thought.
If you or anyone you know is constantly feeling depressed or has suicidal thoughts, please do not feel bad or ashamed about seeking help. Please talk to someone about it, a friend, parent, teacher, or look at the following links for info about getting help:
